By downloading, installing, or using any app in the EightRings family — Pro, Calendar, Lists, Notes, Habits, Health, or Timers (each, "the App") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
The App is developed and operated by OctiCorp ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OctiCorp.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
EightRings is a family of voice-first iOS and watchOS applications for recording audio, transcribing speech, generating AI summaries, managing lists, tracking habits, creating calendar events, taking notes, running focus timers, and logging health and meals with AI coaching. In most of the apps, processing happens on your device; Health additionally relies on OctiCorp-operated network services to generate AI responses.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time. We will endeavor to provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
Calendar, Lists, Notes, Habits, and Timers each cost $0.99 US as a one-time App Store purchase. The local price is shown before purchase. These five apps have no free trial or subscription. EightRings Pro is coming soon. At launch, new Pro users will receive a 5-day free trial with access to the full feature set.
The trial period will begin when you first launch EightRings Pro. After 5 days, continued access will require an active paid subscription purchased in app through Apple's App Store. Pro is a subscription app, not a freemium app. EightRings Health is also coming soon; its purchase options will be displayed in the app at launch.
The trial is available once per user. Creating multiple accounts or reinstalling the App to obtain additional trial periods is a violation of these Terms.
When EightRings Pro launches, access after the free trial will require a paid, auto-renewing subscription purchased in app through Apple's App Store, planned in two options:

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to premium features until the period ends. We do not offer partial-period refunds directly — all refund requests are handled by Apple.
Refund requests are managed exclusively by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. OctiCorp does not process refunds independently.
You agree to use EightRings only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and brand identity, is owned by OctiCorp and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App — including your recordings, transcriptions, summaries, notes, lists, and habit data. OctiCorp makes no claim to any content you create.
Your content is stored locally on your device, and Health requests are processed without storing your conversations or health data — we do not use your content for any purpose beyond providing the service you requested.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully — the short version: no ads, no tracking; your content stays on your device, and Health's cloud AI does not store your data.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. OctiCorp expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
AI-generated content (transcriptions, summaries, Smart AI Actions, and Health coaching responses) may contain errors. Health's AI coach is not a medical professional and its output is not medical advice. You should not rely on AI-generated output for critical decisions without independent verification.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OctiCorp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as applicable under local law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by providing in-app notice.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the App.
